CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio — The Kenston Local Schools community is grieving the loss of one of its own today after a fatal car accident Friday evening.

According to Bainbridge Township police, Cameron Toth, 18, was involved in an accident around 9:35 p.m. on Country Lane when his vehicle traveled off the side of the road, hit a mailbox, a culvert, and trees, and then overturned. During the incident, Toth was ejected from the vehicle.

Toth, a resident of Auburn Township, was transported by the Bainbridge Fire Department to Hillcrest Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased at 1:39 a.m.

A passenger and a bystander were also taken to Hillcrest Hospital and were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Kenston High School Principal Tom Gabram sent out a letter to students and families Saturday morning confirming the news and remembering the Kenston senior.

You can read the statement released by Gabram below:

“Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Cameron Toth.  Cameron was a hard-working student with a strong interest in the welding profession.  He was not only connected to Kenston High School students and staff but also to those at Auburn Career Center.  Cameron valued his friendships with all of his peers and was truly loyal to his closest friends.  As an active member of the football team, Cameron played defensive back and was a member of the 2018 State Championship Team.  Cameron will be missed dearly by all."

Gabram also said in a statement that the Kenston High School senior class plans to gather Saturday evening to privately remember their lost classmate.

The school district says it also plans to provide grief counselors for staff and students beginning Monday, "we are dedicated to providing the necessary resources during this difficult time."

A GoFundMe has been set up to help the Toth family with any expenses. The link to donate can be found here
