A 20-year-old man was shot dead in Cleveland early Wednesday morning after allegedly breaking into an Elgin Ave. home.
Police arrived on scene around 3 a.m. after receiving a call about someone trying to kick the door in. The 41-year-old homeowner told officers he shot someone who had broken into his house. Cornelius Love was later found near a stairway with multiple gunshot wounds.
The case remains under investigation and will be presented to a grand jury. The homeowner was not arrested, and neither his nor the suspect's identity is known at this time.
