Cleveland Police searching for woman after alleged altercation with child's father

Cleveland Police are searching for and seeking the public's help in find Asia Townsend.

On Sunday, officers received third-party information that Ms. Townsend was in an altercation with her child’s father and that he had taken her and their five-year-old child in a vehicle. When contacted via phone, Ms. Townsend told officers that she was not the victim of a kidnapping or altercation and said she would meet them at the second district so that they could see that she is safe.

As of 8 p.m. on Sunday night, Ms. Townsend had not reported to the second district. According to police, she was last believed to be traveling In a red Kia Sportage hatchback.

Police are asking anyone who knows her whereabouts to contact investigators at 216-621-1234.
