Cleveland Police: St. Ignatius student carjacked in school parking lot

Two men forced a student out of his car, threw him to the ground, stole his cell phone, and drove off.

Cleveland Police are investigating a carjacking that took place in the parking lot at St. Ignatius High School on Thursday afternoon.

A 17-year-old student had just finished participating in lacrosse tryouts, when he got behind the wheel of his mother's car (a Kia Sportage) and sent an email out on his phone. As he was preparing to start the car and leave, two men came up to the driver's side door.

One of the suspects, described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s, ordered the student to 'get out of the car and give me our cell phone.' Before the student could get out of the car, the suspect pulled him out, threw him on the ground, and took his iPhone.

The suspect stood 6'0" tall, weighed approximately 190 lbs, wore a dark, camouflage hoodie, and dark pants. He and his companion, described a black male with a black or green hoodie, got into the car and drove off.
