Cleveland Public Library hold class for teenagers to design their own superheroes

The students will have a chance to exhibit their artwork at the Wizard World Cleveland Comic Con.

Anticipation is building for the release of Marvel's new Black Panther movie, but today, the Cleveland Public Library wanted to use the film as a chance to "See the Possible."

The library is holding a class that let's teenagers create their own superhero, doing everything from writing the narrative to drawing their own characters.

"There's certain structures to creating a superhero," class teacher Gilberto Rivera said. "These kids came out with some amazing heroes...that really impressed me."

"It really makes you feel great, the fact that they came out with such rich characters on their own. I was just there to help them along the way."

The program runs into march, and after it's over, the students will have a chance to exhibit their artwork at the Wizard World Cleveland Comic Con.
