2 rescued after car drives into creek in Parma Heights

Police say the vehicle drove through flood waters before crashing.

PARMA, Ohio — Two people were rescued from their car after it drove into a Parma Heights creek late Friday night.

Police tell 3News the vehicle was on an access road to a pavilion area off Big Creek Parkway when it hit flood waters just south of Snow. It then lost control and ended up in the creek.

Crews were able to pull both individuals from the water. Neither suffered serious injuries, but 3News cameras witnessed one of them being taken into custody by officers on scene.
