NORTH RIDGEVILLE -- Police are continuing their investigation after a woman was shot inside a car in North Ridgeville Thursday.
Police say they received a call around 12:18 p.m. for a woman yelling for medical help at the intersection of Bender Road and Taylor Industrial Parkway. The woman stated she had been shot and was in and out of consciousness after her car rolled into a snowdrift.
Police say the woman was on break from work when an unidentified man in his mid-20s approached her car, had a brief conversation with her and shot her multiple times.
The suspect fled the scene in a maroon SUV.
The victim, identified as Jacqueline Dienes, 54, was taken to MetroHealth via LifeFlight. A spokesperson for MetroHealth says Dienes is currently in critical condition.
Police have not provided additional details on the suspect.
