A 30-year-old Lorain man has been arrested and charged with aggravated murder following the death of his girlfriend's son back in November.

Police arrived at a Concord Ave. home on Nov. 17 and found 2-year-old Brandon Williams II with second degree burns on roughly 45 percent of his body. The child has eventually air lifted to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, where he died from his injuries five days later.

Andre Moore—the boyfriend of young Brandon's mother who lived at the same address—had been watching the toddler at the time and was the person who called 911. He told investigators Brandon had been burned while taking a bath, but authorities say his version of events is not consistent with the boy's injuries: In addition to the burns, Brandon apparently had bruises on his face and hip along with a broken rib that had been healing.

Moore was served with the arrest warrant today and also faces felony charges of child endangering. Futhermore, Samone Boykins—the boy's mother and Moore's girlfriend—was also arrested and charged with child endangering, although she is not currently charged with Brandon's murder. Both are incarcerated at the Lorain County Jail.

The incident remains under investigation.
