"Michael Stanley is dealing with serious health issues that prevent him from joining you in his 3-7pm time slot. It has been important to him to be on air up until recently, because you, his fans, mean that much to him," WNCX said on Facebook. "As of right now he is unable to continue doing that. Please keep Michael in your thoughts and prayers, and if you wish to send positive vibes out to Michael, please do so below."

The post has garnered the attention of hundreds of fans since being shared earlier this morning; more than 500 people have shared the message, and over 375 have left comments.

"Dearest Michael... I have been there since the Resonators. You know my uncle too. My prayers and thoughts are with you sir," said one commenter. "For your family in this hard time, hold on. Stay strong for Michael. He needs everyone right now to say prayers. Michael, we love you. Thank you for everything."
