Watch: Ohio celebrities share tips, encouragement for #StayHomeOhio

On Tuesday, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine shared a video of celebrities across Ohio offering advice for social distancing and combating the coronavirus.

As Ohio enters the first full day of its stay at home order, some famous faces in the Buckeye State are sharing words of encouragement.

Kicking off his daily press briefing regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), Ohio Governor Mike DeWine shared a compilation of some of the state's most famous faces offering advice, as well as support, for safe social distancing practices. In the video, the likes of former Ohio State head coach and current Youngstown State president Jim Tressel, Dayton basketball head coach Anthony Grant, Ohio State director of athletics Gene Smith, Columbus Blue Jackets right wing Cam Atkinson, Jeni Britton Bauer of Jeni's Ice Cream and former Ohio State football stars Chris Spielman, Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett can be seen encouraging Ohioans to stay at home (#StayHomeOhio) and that we're in this together (#InThisTogetherOhio).

As of Tuesday, Ohio has had 564 positive cases of the coronavirus, 145 of which have resulted in hospitalization and eight deaths. Dating back to the discovery of the first positive coronavirus case on March 9, DeWine has put a number of orders in place, closing schools and various businesses and public places to slow the spread of the virus. On Monday evening, a stay at home order across the state went into effect, which is slated to last until at least April 6.
