Police in Ravenna are asking residents to be on alert after a man allegedly tried to lure a young boy into his car Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say a student at Carlin Elementary School has been walking home around 3:30 p.m. when a man driving an older white sedan approached near N Freedom St. and Washington Ave. The man apparently asked the boy if he "wanted to get in the car and go for a ride," but the student instead ran home.
While not much information is available on the suspect, he is described as an older white male with dark hair and a long mustache.
The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Ravenna Police Department Detective Bureau at (330) 296-6468.
