STARK COUNTY, Ohio — An Alliance man is in serious condition after he was struck by a motorist while riding a bicycle.
On Tuesday, April 8 at approximately 6:03 p.m., deputies from the Stark County Sheriff's Office responded to the intersection of Rockhill Avenue NE and Bolton Street NE for reports of a crash involving an SUV and a bicycle.
The man riding the bike has been identified as 62-year-old Richard McPherson. McPherson was transported to Aultman Hospital with serious injuries.
An initial investigation revealed that McPherson was riding his bike south on Rockhill Avenue when the SUV failed to yield at a stop sign, striking McPherson.
The driver of the SUV was uninjured.
