Beyond the Dugout: Mike Clevinger talks 80s music, wine and why the party at Napoli's lives on

Learn more about the Indians pitcher.

CLEVELAND — Get to know more about Mike Clevinger as we go "Beyond the Dugout" with the Cleveland Indians starting pitcher.

Question: This can get tricky. I mean, we ask you questions like what's your favorite color?

Clevinger: Turquoise. Hard!

Question:  Yeah, I know. I knew it wouldn't just be like blue or green right?

Clevinger:  Yeah.

Question: Do you have a favorite saying or quote?

Clevinger: Be groovy or leave Bob Dylan, that’s probably the best one.

Question: Are you a Bob Dylan fan?

Clevinger: Actually, to an extent. I mean I wouldn't say I would go toss on Bob Dylan as I'm driving down the road.  I like some Bob Dylan, I like the way he thought about the world versus moreso his music.

Question: So, if you are driving down the road what music would you turn on?

Clevinger: I'll listen to everything but, if it's a long road trip, actually always end up at like 80s Pandora radio.

Clevinger: Yeah!

Question: On the opposite end of working out… liquor, beer or wine -- which one would you choose?

Clevinger: Wine, red wine. No white wine, red wine.

Question: Cab, merlot?

Clevinger: Cab, pinot noir, I mean anything heavy!

Question: Salt or sugar?

Clevinger: Salt!

Question: Would you rather fish, golf or ski?

Clevinger: Fish!

Question: Player on the team you would loan money to?

Clevinger: Frankie (Francisco Lindor).

Question: Yeah?

Clevinger: He’d give it back to you!

Question:  He might try to dye your hair?

Clevinger: No, he's not touching the flow!

Question: I see you still want to party at Napoli's?

Clevinger: Yeah, trying to bring back the vibes. Nap left some good vibes

here, just trying to reignite them.
