CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Indians have placed left-handed reliever Andrew Miller on the 10-day disabled list, the team's Twitter account announced Thursday.
Miller exited Wednesday night's game after throwing just two pitches in the seventh inning against the Chicago Cubs. According to the team, he suffered a strained left hamstring.
MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reported that Miller underwent an MRI Thursday morning.
Miller has allowed zero runs in 10 innings through 11 appearances this season.
The team purchased the contract of lefty Jeff Beliveau from the Columbus Clippers in a corresponding move.
