Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert's son Nick released from hospital following brain surgery

Nick has been a fan favorite with Clevelanders over the years, especially as the team's official representative at the 2011 and 2013 NBA Draft lotteries.

For Dan Gilbert and his family, there's a lot to like right now.

The Cavaliers owner tweeted Wednesday that his 21-year-old son, Nick, is now home resting after 38 days at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. The younger Gilbert had undergone surgery last month to remove multiple tumors from his brain.

Nick was born with a rare disease called neurofibromatosis (NF), which causes tumors to grow anywhere on the body at anytime. Head coach Ty Lue offered his support to Nick before his surgery, and Cavs players reportedly sent him video messages as well.

Nick has been a fan favorite with Clevelanders over the years, especially as the team's official representative at the 2011 and 2013 NBA Draft lotteries, where he joyfully declared, "What's not to like?" The Cavs took home the No. 1 overall selection in both years, using them to draft both Kyrie Irving and Anthony Bennett (who was later used to acquire Kevin Love), respectively.
