Cleveland Browns officially announce front office additions of Eliot Wolf, Alonzo Highsmith

Both Wolf and Highsmith come to Cleveland following lengthy stints in the Green Bay packers' front office.

CLEVELAND -- The new-look Cleveland Browns' front office is beginning to take shape. And it possesses plenty of Green Bay flavor.

On Wednesday, the Browns officially announced the hirings of longtime Packers front office executives Eliot Wolf and Alonzo Highsmith. Wolf will serve as the team's assistant general manager, while Highsmith has been named the vice president of player personnel.

According to the Browns, Ken Kovash, who has previously held Highsmith's new title, will transition to a role in the team's strategy department.

Both Wolf and Highsmith have a history of working with new Cleveland general manager John Dorsey, who was a member of the Green Bay front office from 1991-1998 and 2000-2012. The son of former Packers general manager Ron Wolf, Eliot Wolf arrives in Cleveland after a 14-year stint in Green Bay, where he most recently served as the team's director of football operations.

Highsmith, meanwhile, spent 19 years in the Packers' personnel department. Since 2012, he had held the title of senior personnel executive after spending 13 years in the team's college scouting department.

A member of the University of Miami (Fla.) Sports Hall of Fame, Highsmith played running back for the Hurricanes from 1983-1986. He was selected by the Houston Oilers with the No. 3 overall pick of the 1987 NFL Draft and spent six seasons playing in the NFL.

As a part of the team's front office shakeup, the Browns also parted ways with former Indianapolis Colts general manager Ryan Grigson, who had spent the past season as a senior personnel executive in Cleveland.
