CLEVELAND — A 27-year-old Parma man is in critical condition after a single-vehicle crash on I-90 West.

Lakewood Police told 3News that a vehicle was traveling on I-90 West when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a wall three times. Eventually, the vehicle caught on fire.

Crews on the scene were able to pull the victim out of the car and put out the fire. The man was taken to MetroHealth in critical condition.

No individuals were injured in the accident and no other cars were involved.

Earlier on Thursday, I-90 West was reopened after the crash temporarily closed the roadway at West 117th Street in Cleveland.

The Ohio Department of Transportation had asked drivers to avoid the area after confirming the road closure on Twitter at 9:37 a.m.

ODOT later tweeted that I-90 had reopened as of 10:28 a.m.
