Cleveland Indians invite eight prospects to spring training

The eight players received non-roster invitations.

With just a little more than a month to go until they report to Goodyear, the Cleveland Indians extended non-roster spring training invites to eight players.

Among those accepting non-roster invites for the Tribe were first baseman Bobby Bradley, right-handed pitcher Cameron Hill, infielder Nelson Rodriguez, right-handed pitcher Cole Sulser, right-handed pitcher Louis Head, right-handed pitcher Josh Martin and infielder/first baseman Richie Shaffer. With free agent left-handed pitcher Robert Zarate also signing a minor league contract, the number of Indians non-roster spring training invites now sits at 17.

Indians pitchers and catchers will report to Arizona on Feb. 14, with the first workout taking place a day later. Position players will arrive Feb. 18, with their first workout coming on Feb. 19.
