92.3 The Fan's 'Bull & Fox' named No. 1 mid-market afternoon sports talk radio show in the country

The show finished first in the Cleveland ratings for men 25-54 in the fourth quarter of 2017.

After finishing first in the Cleveland market among men 25-54 for the fourth quarter of last year, 92.3 The Fan's 'Bull & Fox' received another honor on Wednesday when Barret Sports Media revealed the show had been voted the No. 1 mid-market afternoon sports talk radio show for 2017.

'Bull & Fox,' hosted by Adam “The Bull” Gerstenhaber and Dustin Fox, was selected as the top mid-market show by a panel of sports talk radio executives. Those voting took into account the following criteria:

  • Ratings success in their local market
  • Quality content and on-air presentation
  • An established track record of success in the format
  • Spent more than six months hosting on a Mid Market sports radio station
  • Points are given for each ranking (EX: 20 points for 1st place, 1 point for 20th place)

"THE BULL AND FOX do an excellent job of mixing passion and entertainment on the CLEVELAND sports radio airwaves", Jason Barrett, president of Barrett Sports Media, told AllAccess.com. "They turned in a strong showing in 2017 in one of the most passionate sports cities in the nation. In the process they earned the honor of being selected as the best Mid Market afternoon show by our executive panel."

'Common Man & T-Bone' of 97.1 The Fan in Columbus finished 12th in the same category, while sports talk radio legend Mike Francesa of WFAN in New York City finished first in major market afternoon shows.

It's been a banner week for 92.3 The Fan, which first launched in Cleveland in August 2011. On Monday, The Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima was named the No. 2 mid-market morning show, trailing only Bernie Miklasz of 101 ESPN in St. Louis.

Carman and Lima air from 6-10 a.m. Monday-Friday, while Bull & Fox hits airwaves from 2-7 p.m. throughout the week.
