South Euclid 1-year-old dies after suffering cardiac arrest

South Euclid police and EMS personnel responded to a call of a child in 'full arrest'

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio — A one-year-old has died in South Euclid after suffering a medical emergency Friday.

South Euclid police and EMS personnel responded to a call of a child in "full arrest" on an unidentified residence on Villa Drive. A South Euclid officer was able to arrive at the house within a minute of the call to administer life-saving aid.

When EMS arrived to the residence, the child was immediately transported to UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital.

The child was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The incident is currently under investigation by the South Euclid Police Department and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner
