New mural coming to Public Square in Downtown Cleveland

The mural is the first of many in the Downtown Cleveland Alliance's "Voices of CLE" public art project.

CLEVELAND — A new mural is being created in Downtown Cleveland.

The mural located in Public Square features the silhouettes of several people lined up, painted in six different colors, reminiscent of the rainbow.

On Thursday, our 3News crews captured the creator, local artist, Glen Infante in action.

Infante is a veteran in both local and national art communities. His credits include LeBron James, Nike, CNBC, New Balance, Honda, Cleveland Cavaliers, The Golden State Warriors, The Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and the iconic Prince mural just to name a few. He's the also creative behind the popular apparel brand, Ilthy.

The mural is the first of many in the Downtown Cleveland Alliance's "Voices of CLE" public art project. The project is an initiative that calls on local artists, especially of color, to amplify their voices. It provides a platform for "freedom of expression and encourages healing while also sparking conversation and action, here and now, as we unite to move Cleveland forward," their website reads.
