Shooting outside Akron nightclub injures five, including 16-year-old girl

Police have not released any information on potential suspects at this time and no arrest have been made.

AKRON, Ohio — *Editor's Note: The video in the player above is from a previous report. 

The Akron Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured five people including a 16-year-old girl early Saturday morning. 

Officials responded to CRWN Nightclub, located on Maiden Lane, around 12:20 a.m. for reports of an altercation outside of the business that led to the shooting.

The following people were injured in the incident: 

  • 16-year-old girl
  • 21-year-old woman
  • 20-year-old man
  • 21-year-old man
  • 45-year-old man

Some of the victims were transported to local hospitals in private cars and others were transported in ambulances by EMS. According to reports, all of the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries. 

Two cars in the nightclub's parking lot were damaged by gunfire along with a nearby business that had a window damaged. 

Police have not released any information on potential suspects at this time and no arrest have been made.
