On the heels of a highly successful induction ceremony, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has received its largest single financial donation in its history: a $10 million dollar commitment from the KeyBank Foundation.
Rock Hall president and CEO Greg Harris confirmed the news of the donation during Saturday's induction festivities. KeyBank CEO Beth Mooney says the gift "will work to provide greater accessibility for the community and preserve this national icon and regional treasure for future generations."
Details of the partnership will be announced in the coming months.
“We are grateful for this monumental support from KeyBank,” Harris said. “This generous grant fuels our continued transformation and allows us to amplify our impact on Northeast Ohio.
The Rock Hall inducted its 2018 class Saturday night, featuring Bon Jovi, Dire Straits, The Cars, The Moody Blues, Nina Simone, and Sister Loretta Tharpe.
