The Black Keys bringing 'International Players Tour' to Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Oct. 12

The tour comes in support of The Black Keys' new album, 'Ohio Players.'

CLEVELAND — One of the most famous music acts in Northeast Ohio history is returning home.

On Monday, The Black Keys announced a 2024 North American headline tour, the "International Players Tour," which comes in support of their upcoming album, "Ohio Players," which releases on April 5. The Akron natives' tour includes a stop at Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Saturday, Oct. 12.

A presale for American Express Card Members will begin on Tuesday, April 2 at 10 a.m. ET and continue through Thursday, April 4 at 10 p.m. ET. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on sale, which will begin at 10 a.m. ET on Friday, April 5. The tour will kick off on Sept. 17 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and will also include stops in Pittsburgh (Oct. 10), Columbus, Ohio, (Oct. 24) and Detroit (Nov. 12).

First formed in Akron in 2001, The Black Keys consists of Firestone High School alums Dan Auerbach (singer/guitarist) and Patrick Carney (drummer). The rock band is considered one of the most successful of the 21st century, having won six  Grammy Awards, including "Best Rock Album" in 2013 for "El Camino."

"Ohio Players" will mark The Black Keys' 12th studio album and the duo's first since 2022's "Dropout Boogie." Thus far, "Ohio Players" has received strong reviews, including one from Mojo's Tim Doyle, who gave it four stars and proclaimed the project "the sound of a band rejuvenated," while Stereogum's Chris Deville noted "The Black Keys are entering another pop crossover phase."
