FIRST LOOK | Tacologist brings science to the tables in University Circle

Tacologist is a taco and margarita scientist who specializes in Mexican flavors.

University Circle residents and visitors will soon see a scientific spin on their Mexican food.

Tacologist is set to open its doors this Friday at 11409 Euclid Ave.

From Mexico City street tacos to jalapeno infused tequila shots, Tacologist offers a menu of Mexican-inspired favorites.

The science theme comes on Tuesday and Thursday nights, though an exact start date hasn't been revealed. On Tuesday nights, Tacologist will have a "Build your own taco night."

"Science Festisa Night" will take place on Thursdays, meaning you can be a chemist by making your own margaritas. All drinks are served in chemistry flakes and beakers, and the restaurant will provide dry ice to add smoke to your colored cocktail concoctions. Safety googles are not provided.

Tacologist also has top shelf margaritas, infused tequila shots, as well as imported and domestic beers.

The restaurant has a front patio with TVs, and heaters will be added during the winter months for warmth.

Tacologist parking is located on Ford Drive, behind the restaurant in the parking garage. They'll pay up to two hours of your parking per visit.

The restaurant will also throw a big Cinco de Mayo party May 5, complete with taco specials, live performances and discounts on margaritas.
