Maple sugaring tour happening this weekend and next in Ohio

Let the maple touring begin!

MONTVILLE, Ohio β€” Ready, set, maple! The North American Tour is here.

About 16 sugar houses are on the maple tour in Northeast Ohio this weekend and next. Across the state, nearly 50. But, between the U.S. and Canada, there are thousands.

In Ohio, many of the sugar houses are in Northeast Ohio. We stopped at Seldom Seen Farm in Montville to taste their delicious syrup. They do everything right on the farm, from tapping the trees, to making the syrup.

Seldom Seen offers a variety of flavors, plus maple cotton candy, treats and maple-scented candles.

The sugar house at Seldom is only two years old and built from the ground up by owner Kevin Holey.
