Monster Jam is invading Quicken Loans Arena. While crowds are wowed by the sport, what remains a mystery is who’s behind the big wheels.

On Thursday’s Donovan Live, Jimmy was joined by Monster truck driver, Ami Houde.

For Houde,a native of Winnipeg, racing is in her blood. Her dad, a Canadian National Motocross champion, was the first to introduce her dirt bike racing at just two years old. From there, a friend suggested she try Monster truck driving.

Joining Monster Jam in 2017, Houde says she trains six days a week to stay fit for the competition.

While she loves what she does, Houde says it hasn't always been easy recalling times when she was teased for being a "tomboy."

Hear more about Houde experience in the player above or you can see Houde and her truck “Zombie” live in action at the Q February 16, 17. Tickets begin at $15 and can be purchased by clicking here.
