Ciara drops in a U.S.O baby shower via Zoom, Neve Campbell in talks for ‘Scream 5,’ and Blake Shelton surprises mom and daughter nurses

Sub: The country singer stopped by The Today Show this morning to talk with Hoda Kotb, and serenade a special mother and daughter

CLEVELAND —

Ciara is ‘leveling up’ once again and expecting her third baby with husband, and NFL player Russel Wilson.

The singer surprised a group of expectant military moms and dads by joining a Zoom baby shower on Wednesday.

Ciara herself was born on a military base and said that she holds a special place in her heart for military families.

During the conference call, the singer talked with the group about motherhood, and just happened to be interrupted by her husband mid-thought… typical.

Wilson and Ciara are expecting a baby boy later this year.

Fans of scary movies, listen up!

It has been nearly ten years since the last ‘Scream’ film was released, and it looks like there may be a new movement to make a fifth film.

‘Scream’ star Neve Campbell told all in a new interview- which will be released next week- with Rotten Tomatoes, saying "The timing's a bit challenging because of COVID. You know, we only started the conversation maybe a month and a half ago, so it's going to take some time to figure out how it's all going to work out…. We're negotiating, so we'll see."

Other star of the ‘Scream’ franchise, David Arquette, expressed his own interest in participating in another film, as well.  Arquette told Entertainment Tonight's Lauren Zima in a recent interview, "Oh it would be exciting! I love playing Dewey so I would always love to be a part of it."

Hey, maybe movie theaters will even be open by the time this one comes out.

And today must just be a day of Zoom surprises, because singer and host of ‘The Voice,’ Blake Shelton, stopped by ‘The Today Show’ to surprise a mother and daughter nurse from New Orleans.

Bridget Robinson, a Nurse Assistant, was hospitalized last month with COVID-19 and was fighting for her life all while her daughter, Sylvia Johnson continued to treat sick patients.

Robinson said that her grandson was one of the only things that kept her alive during that time, and that she would fight to see him again.

Shelton was so moved by their story that he joined Hoda and the ladies, and gave a live rendition of his song, "God Gave Me You.”
