Canton native combines passions to shine on and off the court for Cleveland Cavaliers

Rogue Corrin is a data steward by day and PowerHouse dancer by night, bringing all of her dreams to life.

CLEVELAND — "I love the best of both worlds cause dance was always a part of my life, but data was like a newfound love when I went into school that I just couldn't let go," said Canton native Rogue Corrin.

Corrin is Cleveland's own "Hannah Montana." By day, she’s a data steward crunching numbers for the Cleveland Cavaliers and by night, she’s a PowerHouse dancer, using her moves to hype up the team and fans inside Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

"I love both of my teams, whether that's data operations or the PowerHouse team. I truly love who I work with and that makes it fun," said Corrin.

While all of her responsibilities fall under one company, her roles within couldn't be more different.

"It really does feel like two separate worlds," Corrin explained. "I'm sure that there's some things that like transfer every now and then, but I don't know anything that would stick out entirely."

Growing up in Canton, Corrin has always had a passion for dance, specializing in both tap and hip-hop techniques. But it was her desire for more in life that led her to data analytics.

"I really want a better life. Like from where I came from, it wasn't the worst of course, but I definitely always knew I wanted better and just, I always had that ambition and drive inside of me," said Corrin.

In 2022, she graduated from Walsh University with her Masters Degree in data analytics. At just age 22, Corrin isn’t just on the right track for herself, she’s also an inspiration for other girls just like herself who are passionate about more than one thing.

"You can create your own roadmap because this hasn't been done before," she explained. "I didn't know it was gonna end up here."

In less than six months, Corrin joined the Cavaliers organization in two roles, proving to young girls that even your wildest dreams are possible.

"I would definitely say don't let anyone tell you otherwise, even if it doesn't exist yet. That's the best part is that you can make it how you want it to be.
