A Dollar General employee is sharing positive vibes through handwritten Post-it notes

A Dollar General in Silver Creek shares positivity around its store. Customers are noticing and loving it.

SILVER CREEK, N.Y. — When shopping, you typically have a list of things you need. However, for customers like Hannah John strolling through the aisles, something stands out but is not on that list.

They're inspirational messages, handwritten, on Post-it notes. The person responsible is Nova Logan, a key-holder at Dollar General in Silver Creek.

"I was having a bad day. Every time I have a bad day, I like to write my special notes and put them on Post-it notes for everyone to see," Logan said.

That's exactly what she does. She spreads positivity through her voice or writing.

Overall, it all started on the right note.

"I notice with customers, they'll have a bad day and reflect it on me. I don't like to do that. I feel like that's wrong. Hopefully, people see them and come back and have a better day if they were having a bad day," Logan said.

The notes catch customers' attention. They love them, as does her district manager, Haskel Porter.

"We need more people like that. Her passion for serving others is contagious. It's infectious for the store team and the customers in this community," Porter said. "It's a joy to see people like that still exist in this world."

As an employee for nearly a year now, messages began appearing when she first started. From there, it grew!

"You have to stay you, to be happy. You're unique, and that's the best thing about you. That's what creates your beauty," Nova said.

If you can't make it into her store, don't worry. She's thinking of you.

"Stay you. Be you!"
