CLEVELAND — Surprise! It’s a new car!
A faithful Northeast Ohio couple was given a special surprise Sunday courtesy of Dr. R.A. Vernon and The Word Church in partnership with Bedford Nissan. It was their 17th vehicle giveaway, “surprising a well-deserving family in their congregation.”
“The act was particularly meaningful and timely for the husband and wife, as in addition to recent car trouble, the family has recently been afflicted with several health issues -- the wife with multiple sclerosis, the husband with lupus and their daughter with lupus as well,” officials tell 3News.
“It was very, very humbling,” they said after being gifted with the vehicle. “It definitely hit my heart. I felt loved. I felt like they really know us and they really want to make sure that our family was taken care of and our family has the things that we need to thrive and succeed.”
