The city of Cleveland is making an effort to get more dogs adopted during the holiday season.
Through Dec. 31, the city's Division of Animal Care & Control will reduce its adoption fees from $61 to $21. Officials at the shelter say there are dozens of dogs waiting for a forever home.
"We currently have over 100 dogs to choose from - with all types of personalities - and our Adoption Counselors will help find the best match for your family," Michelle Harvanek, Shelter Operations Manager, said in a statement.
All adoptable city dogs come vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered. They can be viewed at petango.com/cacc. While walk-in adoptions are accepted, appointments are encouraged.
