When your wife cuts your hair for the first time: Jason Frazer reveals at-home haircut by Romney Smith

How did she do?

CLEVELAND — It has been weeks since any of us have been able to go out and get a haircut because barbershops and salons are closed due to the coronavirus.

Instead of letting our hair grow out like Einstein's famously frazzled tangles, many of us have started experimenting with at-home haircuts -- including 3News meteorologist Jason Frazer.

His wife, Romney Smith, also of 3News, became his temporary barber Saturday -- and lots of laughter ensued.

"It was my first time ever cutting a man's hair," Romney said Sunday morning. "I can say it’s scary. Shout out to all the hairdressers and barbers out there. This is not my calling, it’s not my talent, but I think it turned out pretty decent. I’m calling it a military chic buzz. Jason is that what you would call it?”

Jason laughed ...

“I would call it the wife cut," he said. "That’s what I would call it, and I’m sticking to it. I thought you did a marvelous job, and either way I’m thankful. During this crisis, I know I’m in the exact same position that a number of husbands are, so again, trust your wives folks, and we will get through this together.”

Romney posted the following message on Facebook after cutting Jason’s hair:

Lessons learned from doing my first (and maybe last) hair cut.
