How much property will $250,000 get you? Study ranks Cleveland #2 for space and value in the nation

The study found that on average, a home in Northeast Ohio will give you nearly 5,000 square feet

CLEVELAND — If you are looking to get a lot of bang for your buck, Cleveland might just be the place where it's at.

A new study from PropertyShark examined just how much space $250,000 will offer in a home in various cities around the United States, and found that Northeast Ohio is a great spot if you are looking for space.

PropertyShark found that in Cleveland, on average, $250,000 provides buyers with 4,667 sq. footage of property.

For $250,000 in Manhattan, NY, a person will only be able to get about 232 sq. feet. To put that into perspective, one square foot of room in Manhattan costs more than $1,000, while in Cleveland it’s only $54.

It's not just Cleveland that offers incredible value on property in the state of Ohio, Toledo ranked as No. 4 in the list of cities in the U.S. that will grant you the most space with your money.

Other intriguing findings from the study show that the closer a town is to the sea, oftentimes, the less space you are entitled to.

The study also showed that, unsurprisingly, the more residents in that city, the less space you will be able to buy.
