1 killed, 2 hurt in Cleveland shooting

No suspects have been arrested at this time.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Police Department released new details Monday morning about a triple shooting that happened Sunday in the 3500 block of Henritze Avenue.

Police say it was around 6:35 p.m. when officers responded to the scene and found a 26-year-old man laying in the street with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at MetroHealth Medical Center a short time later.

Officers said another victim -- a 71-year-old man -- was located inside a residence with a gunshot graze wound to his head, which police say he sustained while laying in bed. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

A third victim, identified as a 26-year-old man, arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot.

Police say preliminary information indicates the shooting happened amid a verbal altercation.

The suspect, identified as a 38-year-old man, fired rounds and then left the scene in a vehicle, according to police.

No arrests have been made and the shooting remains under investigation.
