4 wanted fugitives captured in Cleveland

CLEVELAND — Two people who were wanted for aggravated murder in a July 2 shooting are among four fugitives arrested Monday morning in Cleveland.

Authorities say the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force captured Jordan Hicks and Jaylon Hicks, both 19, after both were identified as suspects in a deadly shooting which happened at the intersection of St. Clair Avenue and London Avenue.

When police responded to the scene of the shooting, three male juvenile victims were found with various gunshot wounds. One of them died at the scene.

Jordan Hicks was arrested at an address near the 42000 block of East 175th Street in Cleveland.

Jaylon Hicks was arrested at an address near the 14300 block of Northfield Road in Cleveland. Authorities say three firearms were located and seized from the residence at the time of the arrest.

OTHER ARRESTS

Authorities say 18-year-old Darden Carter was also taken into custody at an address near the 4200 block of East 175th Street in Cleveland on warrants for arson and vehicle theft.

20-year-old Joshua Ziegler was found at an address near the 14300 block of Nortfield Road on a warrant for receiving stolen property.

“Four fugitives and three firearms were taken off the streets of Cleveland today,” U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated. “Our men and women will continue to do our part to help the Cleveland Division of Police keep the streets of Cleveland safe.”
