Five bicyclists were struck in a hit-skip accident that left three of them in critical condition early Saturday morning.

The accident happened around 2:30 a.m.

The five cyclists - 42-year-old Dartangnan Reid, 45-year-old Jamel Linsey, 24-year-old Bernadette Luster, 24-year-old Jamelia O. Luster and 17-year-old Deztaney C. Spencer - were all riding bicycles westbound on St. Clair Avenue.

Rondell L. Dungy, 27, was also traveling westbound on St. Clair Avenue in a Chevrolet Impala, when he struck the five cyclists, throwing them into the roadway.

An unknown woman, driving a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, was driving just behind Dungy and struck cyclist Dartangnan Reid after he was knocked into the street.

During the accident, the two cars also hit each other.

Police are still looking for the female driver who fled the scene.

Dungy was arrested at the scene under suspicion of driving under the influence. He is charged with aggravated vehicular assault.

All five of the cyclists were injured, and all were taken to University Hospitals. Three of the victims are in critical condition.
