Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County announced it is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest the person or persons responsible for the killing of Lyndhurst business owner Dailyn B. Ferguson

Ferguson was shot at about 6:30 p.m. on May 8 inside his car while parked outside of his store, DF KICKZ, in Lyndhurst. He was hospitalized in critical condition and died several days later at the age of 23.

Anyone with information in the murder is asked to contact the Lyndhurst Detective Bureau at 440-442-1234 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 216-252-7463.

Surveillance video shows a suspect vehicle, which police identified as a blue 2008 Volkswagen Jetta with an Ohio license plate number HBG 7262, pulled into the parking lot, opened fire and subsequently fled south on Biltmore Road. The car, with heavily tinted windows on all sides, was reported stolen out of Warrensville Heights May 1.

3News previously reported that police considered the shooting a "targeted attack."

No suspects have been arrested in the murder.

Lyndhurst Police Chief Patrick Rhode told media in May he was frustrated by the lack of leads.

"As the police chief I'm frustrated and I know my investigators are frustrated as well," said Rhode. "It's broad daylight, it's 6:30, it's Mother's Day, it's on Mayfield Road -- very busy thoroughfare for our city."

In that May interview, Rhode implored the public to come forward with any information that could shed light into the responsible parties, a plea heightened today by the Crime Stoppers reward.

"Give us a call no matter how small it may seem to you," he said. "Let us determine [what is] valuable to our investigation."
