Cleveland man turns himself in for robbing a North Olmsted bank

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — On Sunday, a Cleveland man turned himself in for a robbery at a bank in North Olmsted last week. 

The man, now identified as 57-year-old Bruce Morway, claimed to have a weapon and told the teller to give him money. He was able to get away with an undisclosed amount.  No one was hurt. Morway was also seen loitering inside the Key Bank at Kamm's Corner in Cleveland.

The robbery took place around 4 p.m. on Feb. 11 at the Key Bank at Great Northern Shopping Center in North Olmsted. 

The next day, an arrest warrant for the North Olmsted bank robbery was issued for Morway after the man's parole officer identified him when he saw his picture in the media.

On Sunday, Feb. 14, police say Morway went into a Dollar General Store in Youngstown and asked someone in the store to call the police. He then turned himself over to Youngstown police.

Earlier this week, Morway was brought back to North Olmsted where his bond was set at $100,000.
