Cleveland police: Bystander grazed, 1 arrested after shooting outside The Corner Alley

The person who was grazed refused treatment by EMS. The suspect was later located and a firearm was recovered.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police reports that one person has been taken into custody after a shooting outside of The Corner Alley on East 4th and Euclid on Tuesday afternoon. 

Police received a report about two to three shots being fired at around 3:25 p.m. 

According to its preliminary information, Cleveland police believe two men were involved in an argument, with one of them pulling out a gun and attempting to shoot the other. While the shots missed the man being targeted, one bystander was grazed in the hand by a bullet.

3News Crime and Justice Reporter Lydia Esparra spoke to several witnesses at the scene who said they were in disbelief at first, then there was screaming and yelling for several minutes. 

The individual who was hit suffered a minor injury and refused treatment by EMS. 

Police say the suspect fled the scene, but was later arrested. A firearm was also recovered.
