CLEVELAND — Police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in a hit-skip that took place late Tuesday night near Cleveland's Slavic Village neighborhood.

Officials say a 2020 Dodge Durango was headed east on Harvard Avenue around 11 p.m. when it ran through a red light at Broadway Avenue while going over the 25-mile-per-hour speed limit. The SUV crashed into a 2007 Pontiac G6 headed north on Broadway, and the Pontiac spun off the road and onto a sidewalk before striking a fence; a third vehicle going west on Harvard may have also been damaged, but was no longer at the scene by the time authorities arrived.

The driver and passengers in the Pontiac all suffered serious injuries, while the driver (and possibly passengers) of the Dodge fled the area on foot after the vehicle came to a rest east of the intersection. Nearby surveillance cameras managed to capture a photo of the suspect investigators are now trying to find.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to immediately call the Cleveland Division of Police at (216) 621-1234.
