EUCLID, Ohio — The Euclid Police Department has provided more information about the fatal shooting of Glenville student-athlete Te’Vion Cunningham. However, investigators are asking for the public's help to find those responsible for his death.

Euclid Police Captain Mitch Houser told 3News that officers responded to a call from the Euclid Fire Department about a man lying unresponsive in a Seabrooke Avenue neighborhood on Friday evening at around 6:30 p.m. The victim was identified as the 17-year-old Cunningham, who was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.

"We don't believe that something like this would ever happen in a vacuum," Howser explained. "It's 6:30 in the evening in a residential neighborhood at dinnertime. People are home from work, people are having a meal. We can't think that for a second that someone didn't see something."
