HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point police arrested two people accused of assaulting a 68-year-old Walmart employee.

Trevon Waden and Tomeisha Robbs were charged with misdemeanor assault.

The incident happened Monday afternoon at the store on South Main Street. Police said a woman went to the customer service desk about 20 minutes before the alleged assault and complained about a worker checking her receipt.

According to the report, the woman and her boyfriend then approached the worker at the Home and Garden exit of the store. The man reportedly told the worker he was upset that his girlfriend was stopped earlier at the exit. Police said the worker then told them he was just doing his job.

Police said the woman then told her boyfriend to "take care of him," and the man punched the Walmart worker in the eye, causing him to fall and hit his head.

The couple then left the store. Police said officers knew the couple from previous calls, and as a result, secured arrest warrants for both of them.
