Housekeeper assaulted during Lyndhurst home invasion

Officials say the suspects ransacked the house for about 20 minutes, stealing money and property

LYNDHURST, Ohio — Lyndhurst police are investigating after a housekeeper was robbed and assaulted Wednesday during a home invasion on Kneale Dr.

Police say three suspects made their way into the home after knocking on the residence’s door around 11:00 a.m..Once inside, police say they assaulted and tied up a woman who is a housekeeper at the home. 

Officials say the suspects ransacked the house for about 20 minutes, stealing money and property. They fled the scene in an unidentified car.

The victim was able to escape and run to a neighbors house where the neighbor called 9-1-1. She suffered an injury to her head and was treated on scene by the Lyndhurst fire department. Police believe that she was hit by a handgun.  

All men, police say were wearing masks at the time of the incident.
