Man dies after hit-and-run collision in Walton Hills; police searching for suspect

Anyone with information is asked to immediately call (440) 232-1313.

WALTON HILLS, Ohio — The intersection of Northfield and Alexander Roads in Walton Hills is a tricky area for pedestrians to navigate because there are no sidewalks, even worse on a day when it's raining in the evening.

Police say Wednesday around 6:45 p.m., 31-year-old Brandon Foster from Cleveland was leaving work and heading toward a nearby bus stop when he was struck by a driver who didn't stay on scene or bother to call for help. Foster was taken to a nearby hospital, but died from his injuries.

Now, authorities are asking for your help finding the person who was behind the wheel, a message echoed by family members left to care for Foster's three children, who are now without their dad.

"I have some big shoes to fill because my brother was a good father," Foster's sister Khadijah told 3News. "He took care of all his children. I'm hurt, I'm hurt and I really want justice, and if you know something, say something so everybody can get some type of closure about this situation."

After finding broken parts at the scene, police know they're looking for a 2014 or later black Toyota 4Runner with heavy damage to the front end. Officials are going through surveillance video from nearby businesses hoping to catch a glimpse of the exact vehicle that was involved.

If you have information that could help police solve this case, you shouldn't hesitate to call Walton Hills Police Department at (440) 232-1313.
