MANSFIELD, Ohio — One person has died and another hurt following a shooting in Mansfield on Tuesday night.
Police say it was around 8:20 a.m. when officers responded to the scene in the 800 block of Brookfield Drive and found two gunshot victims.
Both were taken to a hospital where one was later pronounced dead.
Witnesses told police that “a group of subjects” fled the scene.
“At this time we do not believe there is any danger to the community as related to this incident,” the Mansfield Police Department said in an overnight press release.

“We are asking for the help of the community in identifying the subjects in this Incident,” said Lt. Robert Skropits.
