The U.S. Marshals Service is asking for the public's help finding a woman accused of "brutally" murdering her boyfriend four months ago in Southeast Michigan.
Thirty-nine-year-old Renee Williams is believed to have fled the state following the September 2018 murder of 39-year-old David Carter. She is accused of first-degree homicide, disinterring a dead body, and tempering with evidence.
Authorities say Williams has ties throughout the United States and has close ties to the Masonic Order of the Eastern Star. She should be considered armed and dangerous.
"No matter where a fugitive may try to flee or hide, we will pursue them, find them and bring them to justice," acting U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Michigan Mark Jankowski said in a statement.
Anyone with information regarding Williams' whereabouts is asked to immediately call the U.S. Marshals' 24-hour tip line at (313) 234-5600 or via email at usms.wanted@usdoj.gov.
