CLEVELAND — A 19-year-old man wanted by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department on a 16-count indictment was captured Tuesday morning.

Authorities say Andre Lovett was located near the 1800 block of Wymore Street in Cleveland by members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.

“Upon arrival at the address, task force members knocked and announced, and at that time Lovett jumped out of a second story bedroom window and fled on foot,” authorities said in a press release.

The chase went for several blocks until authorities say he was tracked down and arrested.

“During the foot pursuit, one of the task force members suffered a serious, but non-life-threatening injury that required medical attention,” authorities added.

Lovett is accused in multiple incidents across Cuyahoga County from Oct. 4 through Nov. 15. The accusations are listed as follows:

  • Three aggravated robberies

  • Aggravated burglary
  • Felonious assault
  • Multiple grand thefts

“In multiple incidents, Lovett is accused of carjacking Cuyahoga County citizens at gunpoint,” according to a press release, “and one in incident Lovett held a family at gunpoint inside their residence and then proceeded to rob them.”
