We are locked into Michigan week so let's start with Ohio State.

"The Game" is Saturday at noon and we should always be thankful to have this one to look forward to, but the Buckeyes should really be thankful that they survived last week.

A big thanks to Maryland for going for two in overtime and falling short. That's a game Ohio State should have lost. Instead, they survived and still have a shot at reaching the playoffs.

While Michigan on paper looks better, the game is played on the field where the Buckeyes have owned their rival. The Wolverines haven't won since 2011 and 2000 was the last time it happened in Columbus.

Now, on to the Cavs... Wait, let's stick with football.

It's the battle of Ohio on Sunday with the Cleveland Browns heading to Cincinnati and we would all be thankful for a win outside the city limits.

The Browns haven't won a road game since Oct. 11, 2015... nor have they won two games in a row since November 2014.

That said, for the first time in years on Thanksgiving, we have some things to be thankful for.

The Browns have already won three games, two more than the last two years combined.

While they search for a head coach, it appears the Haslams hit the mark on their GM. And John Dorsey hit the mark in the draft with Denzel Ward, Nick Chubb and I think they've found their quarterback... thank you, Baker Mayfield.

So on to the Cavs... actually, let's talk Tribe.

Spring training is three months away and we're always thankful for hope and a new season.

The Indians still have pitching and talent, and they still play in the AL Central, so we still have hope... though time is ticking.

I can't keep sidestepping the Cavs, so here we go...

There's not a lot to be thankful for now, considering they went to the NBA Finals four straight years. Kyrie is gone, LeBron is gone, Love is hurt and... their record is awful.

But we should always be thankful we have a team in the league to root for, regardless of the situation.

And we will never forget the only championship most of us have witnessed. It's thanks to them while we still starve for the Browns and Indians to deliver a title.

At least we can be thankful to have one. Better than none.
