Eat'n Park has announced plans to close five of its Northeast Ohio locations next month.

According to a news release issued by the brand, its Boardman, Willoughby, Chapel Hill, Medina and Mentor restaurants will cease operations Feb. 17.

Employees impacted by the closures were offered opportunities to transfer to another Eat'n Park location, according to the release.

"Although this decision makes sense from a business perspective, it is always difficult to part with team members who shared their loyalty and talents with us. We are grateful to them," Eat'n Park COO Mercy Senchur said in the release.

The release also noted that the company is focusing on expanding its Hello Bistro brand, which currently has a location in Beachwood. A Fairlawn location at Summit Mall is under construction.
